Budget title: Senior Staff Assistant (SL-3)

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000

Binghamton University is a NCAA Division I institution in the America East Conference, located in Binghamton, NY with 21 intercollegiate athletic teams. Binghamton University is currently seeking a Ticket Sales and Social Media Content Manager.

The Ticket Sales and Social Media Content Manager will focus on the Ticket Operations, Sports Camp administration and social media content engagement of all Binghamton University's Division I sports teams:

  • Building and maintenance of events in Ticketing software program (Agile). Includes all intercollegiate and special events that requires the disturbing tickets and/or tracking of admissions, including commencement and sports camp activities
  • Establish and maintain effective internal accounting controls and best practices for PCI compliance
  • Execute season ticket renewals and mailings for men's basketball, women's basketball and post-season championships
  • Hire, train, and supervise ticket office staff, ticket sellers, gate attendants and program sellers; comprising of student managers and student staff of approximately 35
  • Uploading Student ID information into Agile to scan for entry
  • Setting up scanners for each ticketed event
  • Work with compliance to oversee processing and distribution of team comp tickets
  • Work with coaches to create registration links and methods for receiving payments to camps/clinics
  • Provide reports on registrations as requested
  • Daily financial reports for any transactions processed through ticket office, deposits for checks/ cash at student accounts
  • Complete regularly scheduled petty cash counts, refund reports
  • Create weblinks and collect payments for state tax reimbursements
  • Create weblinks and collect student-athlete payments for equipment orders for select programs
  • Oversee PCI compliance for area, participating in regularly scheduled trainings and site visits by campus-contracted security assessor
  • Provide customer service to public by phone, email, and in-person at the ticket office
  • Train student staff on customer service procedures for event days
  • Create and manage engaging social media content for Bearcat Athletics in conjunction with sports information
  • Assist with oversight of the Binghamton mascot program
  • Advanced experience creating digital content for social media and videoboards using Adobe Suite and other video editing software
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working with a ticketing software program (or system)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within an intercollegiate athletics department or professional sports
  • Ability to be discrete with confidential information
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, and attention to detail
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with coaches, staff, alumni, students, and supporters
  • Must be highly motivated, positive and results-driven, and willing to take initiative and execute a strategic plan
  • Commitment to contributing to an inclusive environment
  • Ability to work weekends and evening hours
