Contract Duration – 13 weeks or 26 weeks Contract.
Department /Unit – Travel ICU RN
Schedule: Night 7pm to 7am
Facility location - 299 Kings Daughters Drive, Frankfort, KY 4060

What You Will Do:

Job Specific Responsibilities:

  • Triage and Initial Assessment: ER RNs are often the first point of contact for patients arriving at the emergency department. They conduct rapid assessments to prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition, ensuring that those with life-threatening emergencies receive immediate attention.
  • Emergency Medical Treatment: ER RNs assess and stabilize patients with acute injuries, illnesses, or exacerbations of chronic conditions. They initiate appropriate interventions, such as administering medications, performing procedures (e.g., wound care, suturing lacerations), and providing life-saving measures in critical situations (e.g., cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
  • Patient Monitoring: ER RNs continuously monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment. They assess for changes in condition, recognize signs of deterioration, and intervene promptly to prevent complications.
  • Coordination of Care: ER RNs collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. They communicate pertinent information, coordinate diagnostic tests and procedures, and facilitate consultations with specialists as needed.
  • Patient Education: ER RNs provide education to patients and their families about their medical condition, treatment options, and follow-up care instructions. They address questions, concerns, and provide resources to promote health literacy and self-management.
  • Medication Administration: ER RNs administer medications, including intravenous medications, oral medications, and nebulized treatments, following established protocols and safety guidelines. They verify medication orders, calculate dosages, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Trauma Care: In trauma situations, ER RNs collaborate with the trauma team to assess and manage critically injured patients. They assist with resuscitation efforts, perform rapid trauma assessments, and provide ongoing support during stabilization and transfer to definitive care facilities.

What You Will Need:

BLS Obtained from American Heart Association (AHA)
ACLS Obtained from American Heart Association (AHA)
PALS Obtained from American Heart Association (AHA
RN license

Pay: $57.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
