Do you enjoy the excitement of urgent care and internal medicine, but not the long overnight hours? Would you like to be a part of an urgent care practice without the stress and burnout the role usually entails? Well, the good news is that we are looking for Veterinary Receptionists just like you – skilled Team Members who have a passion for providing exceptional service to our clients who are visiting with their non-critically ill pets. Shifts start at just 6-hours long and client arrival is staggered via online booking to ensure smooth hospital flow. Whether you are looking to pick up a few shifts to complement your schedule, or make a full-time change, you are welcome to apply!
About the role:
We are seeking multiple full-time or part-time Veterinary Receptionists to support the urgent care team at our local hospital. The incoming team will never work an overnight shift and will only see non-life-threatening cases. Our ideal candidate is an experienced CSR with strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, the ability to quickly perform triage on incoming patients, and manage multiple phone lines.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform initial triage of incoming patients with the assistance of the veterinary team.
  • Ensure the lobby, front desk, and exam rooms remain organized and clean.
  • Manage multi-line phone system, relay messages, and provide client direction.
  • Guide clients to appropriate exam rooms.
  • Check clients in, take payments, review estimates, and check clients out.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 2 years as a Veterinary Client Service Representative or Veterinary Receptionist
  • Experience in an urgent care or emergency setting is preferred but not required
  • Professionalism, client service, and communication
  • Attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Self-starter
