What You’ll Be Doing - Accounting Manager:
We are looking for a high energy, self-motivated, and hands-on individual to join our growing Finance & Accounting team. An ideal candidate excels in external reporting responsibilities, verbal and written communication and is a problem solver with the ability to translate complex accounting matters into concise business solutions. You'll be managing a team of 3 responsible for bookkeeping duties, the monthly invoicing process, and leading audits. You'll participate in accounts payable and receivable, look for opportunities to make the billing process more efficient, and support other finance initiatives.
What You Are Accountable For:
Evaluate the accounting treatment for ad-hoc significant accounting transactions, research and implement relevant accounting standards, and draft accounting memorandums
Lead yearly audits including the preparation and review of supporting reports and documentation and directly interact and manage relationships with external and internal auditors
Prepare and review monthly internal financial schedules (journal entries, reconciliation schedules, variance reports, month-end close, etc.)
Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state and local income tax returns and other business related filings.
Work cross-functionally within the organization to support various stakeholders
Manage A/R collections and drive down DSO
Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections and payroll
Manage payables
Drive process and system improvements within the organization
Assist with or be responsible for other duties and ad-hoc projects
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business, or related fields
3-5 years of experience in public accounting or high-growth technology environment
CPA is preferred
Experience as a manager of accounting staff
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including rules specific to software as a service (“SaaS”) revenue recognition and ASC 606
Demonstrates highest level of personal integrity and commitment to individual and team accountability
Detail-oriented and committed to 100% accuracy of all information
Excellent communication skills with the interpersonal and leadership qualities required to continuously motivate and develop a team
Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task in a very fast-paced environment
Experience successfully scaling processes and programs within a high-growth company
Highly proficient with MS office suite, expert-level Excel skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals at all levels
