Description:

Big Machine Distillery is seeking a Full-Time Market Manager for the Florida area. The Market Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with all distribution channels and maintaining a visible presence in the market with retailers and distribution partners.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver assigned volume and share growth of the portfolio for the state assigned.
• Call on and develop relationships with all channels of distribution with a focus on independent retail and on-premise accounts.
• LOTS of travel is expected- up to 50%
• Maintain a visible and value-added market presence with key retailers and distributor partners.
• This is a position in which you must know how and be comfortable with carrying samples.
• Through distributor work-withs and independent work, effectively influence future retailers to purchase company portfolios.
• Proactively evaluate and report on distributor inventory levels
• Via both presentations and work-withs, builds distributor knowledge of, and belief in, company brands.
• Works with the Executive Team to establish stretch but achievable volume and distribution goals and put in place activities to achieve targets.
• Must be comfortable with cold-calling potential customers.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Able to obtain a state solicitors license
• Must have a place to store POS.
• 3 years of experience in alcoholic beverage sales, at the distributor or supplier level
• Location: FL
• Skills: Must be familiar with the three-tier system. Must be comfortable selling to all channels of distribution and understand the spirits business. Must be comfortable analyzing sales opportunities and thinking outside the box.
• Mindset – Sales take a creative approach while adhering to the alcohol laws of the state
• Tenacity & Work Ethic – It is a sales role, so you must be self-motivated and require little supervision to deliver high-quality work and be able to overcome objections and figure out a way to make things happen.
• Must have reliable transportation, be able to lift 40 LBS, a laptop computer, an iPad (or similar), and reliable internet for periodic Microsoft Teams calls.

Experience:

• 3 years in alcoholic sales
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
• Some weekend and night availability are required.

Salary:

• Base Salary depending on experience, plus periodic bonus.
