We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist who will be responsible for analyzing data on an aging report to identify the cause of late or short payments. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in advanced Excel and will be able to apply customer payments and credits to accounts, research and analyze past-due invoices, and ensure accurate and timely collection correspondence. Additionally, the candidate will assist with general accounting tasks and data entry for opening new accounts.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable and general accounting.
• Proficiency in applying customer payments and credits, researching, and analyzing past-due invoices, and general accounting.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).
• Strong organizational, planning, multitasking, prioritization, and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently as part of a larger team.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and other advanced functions.

This is a full-time position located at our office in Brentwood, NY 11717. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with 8-hour shifts. Reliability in commuting or planning to relocate before starting work is required.

Salary for this position starts at $65,000 per year.
