Our program specifically was built to ensure that all youth, regardless of background, have a plan after high school and the social capital to make it a reality. Big Brothers Big Sisters has the following position available: Volunteer Engagement Specialist located in Dallas, TX.

Position Summary: Join our team as a Volunteer Engagement Specialist and play a crucial role in shaping the volunteer experience from the very first interaction. We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the initial contact with prospective volunteers, ensuring each inquiry is handled with the highest level of professionalism and in accordance with our established standards. Your mission will be to provide a smooth and welcoming transition for potential volunteers, guiding them from their initial inquiry through to the successful completion of their application process.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities, and Activities
-Engage and Influence: Make a lasting first impression by proactively engaging with prospective volunteers and presenting a persuasive narrative that encourages their participation from start to finish.
- Data Management: Take charge of the volunteer recruitment process by promptly and accurately initiating the recruitment cadence for potential volunteers, meeting all deadlines and maintaining the standards of BBBSA and our agency.
- Collaborative Recruitment: Work closely with the Volunteer Engagement Manager to support volunteer recruitment efforts, including assistance during events and information sessions.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements
-A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Proven experience in customer service.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of organization and adeptness at scheduling.
- Experience with a high volume of phone calls and data entry is advantageous.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Salesforce.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekday evenings and weekends.
- A strong willingness to work within culturally diverse environments.

Candidate should reside in Dallas County or Collin County area as position reports to our Dallas, TX office.
