Big Bend Hospice is Hiring a Hospice Aide, Full-time Near Tallahassee, FL

Are you a compassionate certified CNA, looking for a rewarding career opportunity?
Look no further than Big Bend Hospice. We are hiring a full-time CNA to join the Inpatient Unit Team.
In this position you will work in our 12-bed Inpatient Unit, The Dozier House.
AND
New First Commerce Center for Compassionate Care Team (8-bed Inpatient Unit).
In this position, you will be responsible for caring for our Hospice patients in both Inpatient Unit settings.

As an employee of BBH, you’ll have the chance to join a collaborative team and make a meaningful impact, providing high-quality end-of-life care.
As the Hospice Aide (CNA) you will give personal care under the supervision of the RN. Actively support and promote the philosophy and mission statement.


Schedule Logistics:
This is a full-time position, must be available to work 3–12-hour shifts, 6:45am - 6:45pm (rotating weekends and holidays).

Our Hospice Aides:
(duties include, but are not limited to)

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the hospice philosophy.
  • The Hospice Aide is responsible for attending to the personal care needs of the terminally ill patients under Big Bend Hospice care.
  • The Hospice Aide works under the direct supervision of the Hospice Registered Nurse.
  • The Hospice Aide follows the direction of the care plan.
  • Document timely and appropriately.
  • Participate in end-of-life care for the patient and family.
  • Inform RN of any changes in the condition.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Must have an active Florida Certified Nursing Aide certificate.
  • BLS Required
  • Must maintain active Florida Drivers License
  • Hospice, Home Health experience preferred
  • Compassionate with sound judgment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical software systems
  • Ability to handle stress and long shifts
