We are currently looking for a Project Manager to support substation and line projects and construction support services in the electric utility industry. The position requires a strong interest in power systems and electric utilities. 

 What Winning Looks Like:

  • Manage and act as a coordinator and project liaison to the client, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders, throughout the project.
  • Maintain project schedules and manage budget; coordinate and track project activities and communications to ensure project goals are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and budget parameters.
  • Responsible for the development of internal and external reports including project budgeting, cost reports, project cash flow forecast, and project status reports to all stakeholders.
  • Manage project related communications and submittals to client.
  • Make sure clients are satisfied with quality and on time delivery for Projects.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and applicable site visits to provide project management oversight and input.
  • Coordinate with Project Engineer to develop cost proposal and change orders.
  • Ensure all projects have accurate and up to date project scope documents.
  • Execute contracts including change order management/ field change directives, approval of invoices, and management of schedules.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement Specialist for all materials.
  • Identify and report any resource overlap or conflicts to the Department Manager and Project Engineer
  • Promote the BHMG quality management system (QMS) on all projects.
  • Responsible for timely project closeout for all stakeholders
  • Achieve individual project goals set forth annually.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university in engineering, engineering management, construction management, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of electric utility experience required with at least 4 years of it being in Project Management. 
  • Proficiency with project workflow and scheduling.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management tools and processes such as Microsoft Project or P6. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels in the organization in a team environment.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
