The Tape Slitting Associate converts large logs of raw tape using the slitting machines to cut into smaller rolls. Use basic math skills to calculate measurements from metric to inches. Accuracy in job processing is critical from set up to packing product for shipping.

Schedule: Day shift, Monday - Thursday, 10 hour days

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Set up and run tape log slitter machines, cutting logs into finished rolls
• Label and package product for sale
• Operate a forklift to move material
• Use digital Sage X3 ERP system to process orders
• Collaborate closely with management to work through production issues.
• Continuously expand knowledge base related to BGR's wide variety of packaging offerings
• Maintain a clean work area, using proper products to clean up inks used in the process
• Quality Control; follow job specifications accurately
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment, as well as individually.
• Reading/following job instructions and complete work as specified.
• Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards along with continuous quality and production requirements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School degree required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math skills (measurement, conversion)
• Attention to detail
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Machine Operator experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Work in a production environment.
• Standing for prolonged periods of time.
• Repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
