Description

Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with first shift through phone calls, texts and written notes about production progress or issues after each shift.
• Maintain tidiness of work area, including keeping printing equipment clean and in good repair.
• Perform light maintenance of equipment, including software updates and replacement of consumable supplies as needed.

Digital and Thermal Printing

• Refer to and follow all job specification instructions.
• Operate digital and thermal printers to produce labels.
• Load materials into the printing machines.
• Select print jobs from a digital menu, input job instructions, and initiate printing.
• Conduct quality checks during and after the printing process.
• Monitor output regularly to ensure accuracy.

Flexographic Plate Making

• Work in a laboratory setting to generate impressions on plates using a UV light machine.
• Submerge the plate in a cylosol solution following specific written instructions.
• Adhere to proper procedures for flexographic plate making.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and eye protection, at all times during the process.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Proven ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy
• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform visual quality checks including identifying and differentiating between colors effectively
• Comfortable working in an environment with distinct smells
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
