We are looking to hire a General Manager-Dining to join our team. The General Manager-Dining is responsible for directing and managing all aspects of dining and culinary activities and to develop and implement effective customer service strategies and programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Overseeing daily business operations
Developing and implementing service strategies and efficiencies
Developing a positive, customer focused, service culture and leading that by example
Training subordinate managers and staff
Managing budgets including complete and accurate monthly inventory
Ensuring effective inventory controls are in place and adhered to
Improving revenue opportunities
Hiring employees and ensuring complete and through training of their respective jobs
Evaluating performance and productivity
Event planning and execution, coordinating with residents, families and interdisciplinary team
Supporting service teams as necessary as well as culinary team
Ensuring that all subordinate staff are completing their assigned tasks and fulfilling expectations
PERSONAL QUALITIES:
Strong leadership skills, and demonstrates the ability to make sound decisions
Excellent time management skills
High integrity, positive attitude, mission driven and self-directed
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
Five years’ experience in the industry or a related field
Excellent financial and budgeting skills
Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 20 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position typically operates in a dining room setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
