The Role:

Join us as a Senior Data Scientist and play a pivotal role in launching and enhancing BeyondTrust SAAS solutions. In this role, you'll support the enhancement and creation of threat detections by utilizing large-scale data workloads and applying statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, and more. You'll be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining models whose output will be directly consumed by enterprises to improve their cloud security and identity posture.

What You’ll Do:

• Strategic Solution Design: Own the vision around all data science product components or features, maintaining alignment with the overall product strategy in partnership with threat research and data engineering.
• Technical Execution: Design, develop, and maintain model pipelines for detecting threats, generating additional identity insights, and powering security recommendations.
• Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, scoping and ensuring problem alignment with organizational objectives.
• Innovation at the intersection of Security and Data Science: Periodically work with product partners, patent attorneys, and content editors to propose and generate IP.

What Skill You Will Need:

• Depth in statistical modeling and/or machine learning.
• Must be ready to talk through the technical details of the models you have deployed!
• Proficiency in solving unsupervised, semi-supervised, and supervised learning problems using PySpark or other modern scalable scientific programming languages.
• Demonstrate the ability to wrangle big data and code-up models on the fly!

• Comfortable thinking about threat landscape challenges and directions.
• Self-driven and determined to stay connected with state-of-the-art AI.
• Preferred:
  • Knowledge and passion for graph problems.
  • Knowledge and passion with large language models.
  • Track record of contributing to the scientific and security communities.

What You’ll Bring:

• 2 years of experience supporting threat researchers.
• 4 years’ experience delivering and supporting enterprise-ready data science solutions.
• Experience working on an Agile team in a continuous integration and development environment.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
