Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will be responsible for providing high quality patient care to individuals who require intermediate-level nursing interventions. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans while monitoring patients' progress and responding to their changing medical needs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assessing patients' conditions and ensuring their stability
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitoring and interpreting vital signs and telemetry readings
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
• Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Documenting patient care and progress accurately and timely
• Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality of care

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a PCU or similar setting
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
