Job Title: Registered Nurse Med Surg RN

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse Med Surg RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a medical surgical unit of a hospital or healthcare facility. The RN will assess patient health needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure the best possible outcome for patients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assessing patient health needs and developing individualized care plans
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitoring patient vital signs and reporting any changes to the healthcare team
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
• Educating patients and their families about their medical conditions and treatment options
• Providing emotional support and guidance to patients and their families
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
• Adhering to all healthcare facility policies and procedures
• Participating in continuing education and professional development activities

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical surgical setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate and empathetic demeanor
