Job Description

Job Title: Emergency Room/Float Med/Surg/Progressive Care RN

Job Summary:

As an Emergency Room/Float Med/Surg/Progressive Care Nurse, you will provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare setting. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in emergency room, med/surg, and progressive care units.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assessing patients' medical conditions and developing nursing care plans
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitoring and recording patients' vital signs
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Providing education and emotional support to patients and their families
• Responding to medical emergencies and providing life-saving interventions
• Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality of care

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency room, med/surg, or progressive care settings
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
• Flexibility to float between different units as needed
