Job Title: Surgical Tech - Inpatient SurgeryJob Summary:The Surgical Tech in Inpatient Surgery is responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room is sterile and organized, and providing quality patient care. They play a crucial role in the surgical team by preparing and maintaining surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.Responsibilities and Duties:1. Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies.2. Ensure the operating room is set up according to procedure requirements.3. Maintain sterile field throughout the surgical procedure.4. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.5. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.6. Assist with patient positioning and transport.7. Perform pre-operative and post-operative duties as needed.8. Follow proper infection control protocols.9. Document patient care accurately and timely.10. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.Qualifications and Skills:1. High school diploma or equivalent.2. Completion of a Surgical Technology program.3. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.4. Previous experience in surgical setting preferred.5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.6. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.8. Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures.9. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.10.
