Job Title: CVICU RN (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse)Job Summary: The CVICU RN is responsible for managing and treating patients with critical cardiovascular conditions in the intensive care unit. They monitor patients, administer medications, perform assessments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal care.Responsibilities and Duties:1. Monitor and assess patients' cardiac status and vital signs2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians3. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans4. Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records6. Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as necessary7. Assist with procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and surgeries8. Educate patients and families on post-care treatment plans9. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and regulationsQualifications and Skills:1. Current RN license2. ACLS certification3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care or cardiovascular nursing4. Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills6. Ability to work effectively in a team setting7. Attention to detail and ability to multitask8.
