Bertke Electric Co. has been providing first class electrical services to the Greater Cincinnati area since 1928. We have had the pleasure of building some of Cincinnati’s finest buildings including: Hyatt Regency, Adams Landing, U.C. Geology and Physics, Riverbend Music Center, Kroger’s Headquarters Building as well as many grocery stores, retail stores and small office build outs. We now specialize in doing your electrical service work. Bertke will maintain and repair all of your electrical equipment. We also offer infrared/thermal imaging, arc flash studies and arc flash training. We are seeking an Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to join our great Bertke team!

Duties & Responsibilities

• Estimating Electrical construction and service projects using Accubid software.
• Review Plans and Specifications for completeness and prepare RFI’s for additional information as required.
• Fast Track small quotes for national accounts.
• Project management for construction and service projects sold.
• Develop project schedules.
• Obtain installation permits as required.
• Order equipment and materials; issue purchase orders to vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare project scopes and procure quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors for favorable pricing.
• Ongoing job tracking of projects in progress.
• Assist in resolution of problems that arise during construction projects.
• Perform field surveys for the development of new project estimates and replacements.

Additional Duties

• Perform postmortem analysis on completed projects, comparing estimated costs to actual costs incurred.
• Manage project close-out documentation, including: as-built drawings, warranty letters, start-up reports, balancing reports, etc.
• Stay abreast of current technology and construction methods in an effort to continually improve production and quality.
• Develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with key owner direct customers, equipment/material suppliers as well as create strong partnerships with select engineers and vendors.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Must be proficient in the NEC, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 70B
• Ability to support field technicians troubleshooting electrical problems when needed
• Excellent customer service and management skills are imperative.
• Must be able to get along with multiple types of personalities
• Support Business Development TEAM to help grow sales and enhance our presence in the industry
• Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must have a “do anything” and “whatever it takes” attitude.
• Must be positive, innovative, self-motivated, "out of the box thinker”, and most importantly a TEAM player.
