Our Mechanical Engineers are directly involved and responsible for the planning, designing, and engineering of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for educational, health care and/or commercial buildings.

Position Summary:

The Drafter BIM/CAD Specialist reports to the Project Manager (Architect or Engineer) and is responsible for setting up and maintaining project technical drawings for building construction utilizing Revit and/or AutoCAD software.

Key Accountabilities

• Communicate and coordinate with project team members.
• Setup and assemble drawing sheets utilizing Sheet Set Manager or Navigator.
• Prepare drawing plans and details as directed by Project Architect/Project Manager, and other members on the design team.
• Review and interpret markups and redlines and properly draft into computer aided drawing.
• Assist with production of construction drawing schedules.
• Visit jobsites to gather required information to complete drawings.
• Assemble drawing sets for uploading and printing.
• Prepare close-out drawings for final document storage.

Education & experience requirements:

• Technical school graduate.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to meet deadlines and schedules.
• Strong working knowledge of computers and software as they pertain to AutoCAD and Revit/BIM.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with BIM360, Bluebeam, and MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) a plus.
