Summary 

We are currently seeking an experienced Landscape Architect to join our landscape team who can make immediate contributions to our overall team success.

Candidates for this position should be proficient in all conventional aspects of the landscape architecture profession. They should be talented, self-motivated individuals able to work in a team environment across a variety of project scales and types. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, strive to contribute innovation and creativity to the team, and exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills. The person in this position will contribute to all traditional project roles ranging from schematic design through construction documentation, construction administration, client engagement, and project management.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities 

o Work & collaborate within an interdisciplinary design team.

o Effectively communicate with clients to determine project goals, needs, and requirements.

o Collaborate with external consultants or subconsultants which may include architects, engineers, surveyors, estimators, planners, or others.

o Compile complete sets of drawings, manage concurrent projects, collaborate with clients, consultants, team members, and have knowledge of landscape design, methods, and techniques.

o Manage various and/or all phases of Bernardo Wills landscape architecture projects.

o Understand and manage project schedules.

o Coordinate and produce technical specifications.

o Contribute ideas and solutions in project team environments.

o Manage and mentor project teams.

o Prepare project designs and plans using AutoCAD, Land F/X, and Civil 3D. Prepare presentations and graphics using the Adobe Creative Suite and the Microsoft Office Suite. 

o Actively pursue client relationships through networking, business development, and maintenance of established connections.

o Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

o Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Land F/X. 

o Demonstrated proficiency in Google Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion 10.0 (and later).

o Demonstrated ability to express design ideas through hand graphics, computer aided graphics, modeling, (or similar).

o Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office Suite. 

o Ability to take initiative and stay organized while managing multiple projects or tasks.

o Interest in sharing and/or learning of emerging research and technologies applicable to the profession.

Qualifications

o College degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program (or equivalent).

o 8 years of related professional experience.

o Professional licensure.

o Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal relationships, leadership, communication, and presentation skills.

o Demonstrated proficiency in standard design processes, construction drawing set compilation, client engagement, and project management.

o Ability to work a full-time, in-office position at our office in Spokane, Washington.

o Remote work and work sponsorship are not available for this position.
