This position works 40 hours per week.
The position allocated to this class performs duties associated with park planning, design, development, redevelopment and/or improvement. Incumbents perform a broad range of analytical and technical work (e.g. park master plan preparation, land use analysis, evaluation, planning/development and managing construction of complex, high value capital improvements, etc.) The incumbent must exercise sound and independent judgment and initiative in the selection of appropriate courses of action and resolution of problems. Assignments are received with little technical instruction and require considerable complexity, responsibility, and expertise; Work involves considerable interaction with park operations personnel, Planning and Land Acquisition Administrator, other County departments, governmental agencies, and the general public.
Work is performed under the administrative supervision of the Parks Project Manager/Landscape Architect 2. Work is reviewed by the Parks Project Manager/Landscape Architect 2 for timely completion of projects and compliance with established policies and objectives; work is evaluated through reports, conferences and results obtained.
TOTAL COMPENSATION: $87,992 - $123,265 annually.Total compensation is an estimate based upon base compensation, median retirement fund contributions, and current employer-paid health and related benefit contribution rates (including medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability, and leave). The actual total will vary depending upon each employee's enrollment choices.
