The Pennsylvania Association of Intermediate Units (PAIU) is seeking an Executive Director to lead Pennsylvania’s 29 regional education service agencies. The successful candidate must be a dynamic individual with exceptional leadership qualities, superior communication skills, and outstanding administrative ability. The candidate must also possess a skill set that includes political strategy and government relations, education policy experience, and intermediate unit content knowledge.

The Executive Director leads the organization’s government relations and advocacy activities including interacting with members of the Governor’s Executive Branch, the PA General Assembly, and other education-related organizations. In addition, the Executive Director provides support for intermediate units and the IU system, including generating revenue to support PAIU operations, and oversees all association management functions.

PAIU is a non-profit organization with its headquarters located just outside Harrisburg. The position offers a hybrid telework option and is supported by two staff members who assist with coordinating the overall activities.

Salary Range: $160,000 to $210,000 (commensurate on experience).
