The Preschool Program Specialist provides support and monitors the preschool sites to help meet the high-quality standards established by the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL).
Job Responsibilities (see attached job description for additional details):

• Provide individualized monitoring, coaching, consultation and assistance to support successful implementation to assigned early childhood programs. This could include providing resources, professional development, and technical assistance.
• Monitor assigned early childhood programs for compliance with OCDEL regulations and requirements as well as provide appropriate feedback using a standardized monitoring tool (Program Review Instrument). The specialist will provide fiscal, administrative, and classroom oversight (virtual or in person), including lesson plan review and/or tracking (teaching qualifications, enrollment, child eligibility and other functions).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in early education or related field. Master’s degree in early education, child development, or administration preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of high level-work in the field of early learning with experience in partnership work and administration.
• Exceptional writing, organizational, and management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of multiple teams.
• Ability to perform a leadership role, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively with preschool programs, partners, and colleagues.

Schedule:
Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, 12 months/year
Salary:
Established by the Intermediate Unit Board of Directors per the Compensation and Benefits Plan for PA Key, Classification – Education Specialist.
This position will serve Franklin, Cumberland, Adams, York, and Lancaster counties.
