Berkeley College is Hiring an Adjunct Instructor, Health Sciences Near Woodland, NJ

Berkeley College, dedicated to empowering students to achieve lifelong success in dynamic careers, is seeking adjunct instructors to teach in the Health Sciences department. The position includes teaching theory for courses such as Anatomy and Physiology, Human Biology, Chemistry, Ethical and Legal Aspects of Health Services. Candidates must be available to teach morning, afternoon, and evening classes Onsite. Opportunities are available at our Newark, Woodbridge, and Woodland Park, New Jersey locations. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Teaching and advising students
  • Improving student outcomes by utilizing a variety of instructional delivery methods, including technology and other innovative approaches
  • Maintaining and submitting appropriate individual student records
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree required Doctoral preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach at the higher education level
  • An ability to teach classes during the day, the evening and/or the weekend.
  • Experience using technology and interactive electronic materials to support teaching and learning
  • Experience using a Learning Management System such as Canvas
  • Maintains teaching assignments for the course as assigned by the department
  • Instruct the assigned course(s) in accordance with the approved curriculum.
  • Ensure that the quality and quantity of instruction provided in the classroom are consistent with the stated objectives of the school and industry.
  • Maintain a daily record of student attendance and grades in accordance with school policy.
  • Ensure that the classroom and school’s atmosphere are conducive to maximum learning and retention of students.
