Berkeley College is currently seeking highly qualified and motivated part-time instructors to teach Medical Assistant administrative and clinical courses and to support our vision of becoming the college of choice for students pursuing lifelong success in dynamic careers and employers seeking graduates prepared to meet the demands of the global marketplace.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Teaching and advising students
• Improving student outcomes by utilizing a variety of instructional delivery methods, including technology and other innovative approaches
• Maintaining and submitting appropriate individual student records
• Participating in College-wide activities such as graduation
• Willingness to travel and teach at campuses where programs are offered
• Ability to teach morning, afternoon, and/or evening classes
• Experience using technology and interactive electronic materials to support teaching and learning
• Experience using a Learning Management System such as Canvas

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree and professional certification, such as the CMA, RMA, CCMA, or another credential awarded by an organization whose credentialing exam is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) required.
• Knowledgeable in the objectives of the MAERB Core Curriculum.
• Effective in directing and evaluating student learning and laboratory performance.
• Possess instruction in educational theory and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at the higher education level.
