Benson Executive Search is Hiring a Chief Human Resources Officer Near Boston, MA

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Administration (EVP), will actively participate in the management and strategy of our client's corporation and its mission. Through their deep understanding of the Corporation and its business drivers, this leader will play a key role in the design and execution plans of the general and strategic direction of The Corporation including their functional expertise relative to people-related initiatives and cultural drivers for our Client.

They will provide strategic direction and oversite of the day-to-day Human Resource (HR) Operations and Administration within the corporation’s six values of Team Member Well-being; Teamwork, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Respect, Trust; Our Eastern Massachusetts Community.

In collaboration with our client's leadership, the EVP will develop, lead, and deliver all HR and administration multi-year annual plans built from the four strategic imperatives. Functional initiatives include but not limited to recruitment and retention, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR Information Systems (HRIS), training, policy development and implementation, compliance and reporting, team member relations and communication, recognition and reward, and organizational and professional development.

The EVP will have oversight responsibility for our client's Office Administration including the Office Manager, Visitor Experience Associate, and Internal Administrative Team (IAT). The EVP will also ensure best practices in implementing administrative support activities while leading, guiding, and mentoring administrative support staff in their tasks and functions.

This leader will create and implement a vision for the HR function with a high touch, open door approach, ensuring all employees, from leaders to individual contributors, can seek fair guidance and advice. HR will become a responsive valued function across our client's corporation.

This leader will be instrumental in driving a culture of equitable treatment and fairness, across the Corporation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve on the Executive Leadership Team providing guidance, strategic thinking, ideation and management recommendations for the continued growth and success of The Corporation, its team, and its mission.
  • As a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), foster a unified and balanced culture that inspires excellent performance and strong team member engagement in support of our client's values.
  • Develop and execute strategies that manage the talent management process to attract, hire, retain, compensate, and performance manage talent for our team.
  • Through the HR team, lead the strategic and tactical implementation, compensation management and benefits philosophy, to be competitive, using recognized benchmarks and external survey data.
  • Ensure that HR and Admin vendor relationships including, but not limited to, benefit brokers, insurance benefit carriers, compensation consultants, retirement plan service providers, etc. are properly managed in concert with our client's Business Practices.
  • the HR Team to execute the mid-year and year-end performance management process.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Requires a human resources executive with a minimum of 20 years of experience
  • Demonstrated ability to strategically and tactically evaluate and implement sophisticated HR programs and initiatives
  • Adept at working with a variety of organizational leaders to build consensus around HR strategy and tactics
  • Demonstrated background in talent management and leadership management
  • Proven ability to attract and retain outstanding talent and assemble and motivate high performance teams
  • Able to immediate bring credibility to the human resources function through his/her professional qualifications and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated success in coaching and advising a CEO and other executives on an ongoing basis, resulting in more effective leadership
