Financial Analyst (Troy, MI)
Summary - We are seeking a Financial Analyst that is specialized in developing, interpreting, and implementing financial concepts for financial planning, budgeting/ forecasting, modeling and internal system controls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to
  • Collect, analyze, and lead quantitative data by creating meaningful reports to help lead business improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Assist in the increase of productivity by developing automated finance applications and utilizing current NetSuite/Oracle planning and budgeting.
  • Compile, analyze and provide support in the annual budgeting process.
  • Report on budgets and provide strategic forecast support in the areas of budget and forecast.
  • Assist in the development of financial models and 3-year business plans, providing financial modeling support and business valuation insight.
  • Analyze past and current financial performance in the areas of P&L and cash flow and interpret the data and findings.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, complete cost and revenue analysis, and other basic finance reporting including P&L, gross margin, and profitability.
  • Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts, conducting weekly variance analysis reports to leadership team.
  • Initiate cost analysis and provide creative alternatives by recommending policies and procedures to help reduce costs and improve financial performance.
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data for multi entity organization, reporting at the entity and consolidated level.
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status, capital structure, liquidity and risk.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing results as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Economics or Statistics.
  • 5 years proven experience working as a financial analyst- FP&A in corporate finance.
  • 5 years working with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, advanced skills required.
  • Proven proficiency in large spreadsheets, databases and financial software applications.
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Ability to work with large datasets.
  • Proven analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent reporting, presenting and communication skills with the ability to work cross- functionally, providing financial support to the operational teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and organizational skills required.
  • NetSuite ERP and NSPB experience required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
  • Experience working for Private Equity firm.
  • Experience working for company with revenues greater than $150m.
  • Experience with M&A and Due Diligence support.
Work Schedule - Full-time. Monday – Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Requires in-office days but also offers at-home flexibility after 90 days.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 per year. Actual salary is dependent on skills, experience, education, and other business factors.
