- Demonstrates proficiency on a computer; is familiar with software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Point of Sale.
- Enjoys building relationships.
- Complies with a dress code that prohibits displaying tattoos, piercings in excess of two per ear, and unnatural hair colors.
- Barista experience required.
- Experience working with high school students preferred.
- Ensures and is accountable for profitability of the store by growing sales and controlling costs of goods, inventory levels, labor, supplies, and expenses.
- Ensures proper team member coverage, scheduling according to the needs of business while maintaining target labor costs.
- Performs all POS duties, front and back of house functions including opening and closing procedures.
- Maintains proper loss prevention standards, reviewing cash handling procedures, which may include deposits and safe procedures.
- Identifies staffing, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training needs of qualified candidates.
- Promotes and practices safe work habits, identifying and resolving potential safety hazards. Reports all accidents to Director of Facilities.
- Maintains high cleanliness standards consistently throughout the cafe in the areas of cafe appearance, merchandise, and equipment.
- Coaches and counsels team members for improved performance.
- Completes a store inventory and places a product order weekly.
- Trains baristas on drinks preparation and proper use and care of coffee equipment.
- Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested.
- Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and missions of the Benedictine Schools of Richmond.
