Position Summary:

The Inventory Processing Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of order processing and procedures.

The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. The job environment is stable, based on known relationships with people and well-defined processes. Job knowledge and competency is built through structured step-by-step training and positive, supportive coaching from management and peers. Communication with others is based on knowledge of repetitive job routines and procedures gained from sufficient on the job experience. Consistent, error free work based on defined regulations and standards are key measures of job performance success. The job environment promotes steady, methodical work output so that job routines can be completed on time and error-free. This position is designed to develop a valued technical expert, who, recognized and supported by management and a stable work environment, can deliver quality work on a consistent basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and Research Inventory counts and discrepancies. Report all adjust requests to Inventory Controls Director.
  • Check in, QC, and receive all incoming product from vendors.
  • Oversee training for new and current Inventory associates in coordination with the Inventory Control Director.
  • Ensure all associates are meeting daily/ weekly goals while maintaining accuracy.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions (i.e. formatting, formulas, PivotTables, macros, data analysis tools) for order prioritizing and reporting purposes.
  • Maintain work area inventory and adhering to the inventory request protocol(s).
  • Review and verify data from returns department and ensure the accuracy before creating stock return authorizations.
  • Direct and monitor all extra projects to ensure processes are followed and designated timeframes are adhered to.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Follow appropriate processes in prioritizing picking workload.
  • Process all custom requests in accordance with current inventory supply.
  • Complete all necessary substitutions as it pertains to order fulfillment.
  • Organize and stage factory based work to ensure invoicing efficiency.
  • Ensure all invoices and packages are completed and to the shipping department in a timely manner.
  • Thoroughly inspect all orders before receiving in software.
  • Follow all merchandising and organization requirements for stock orders.
  • Ensure all work areas are clean and organized.
  • Serve as a back-up/support to ensure proper staffing coverage due to team member absences and/ or business needs.
  • Keep all printed media and displays stocked in inventory cabinets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required. Must be 18 years of age.
  • Technical: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is required (i.e. formatting, formulas, PivotTables, macros, data analysis tools)
  • Technical Skills Cont'd: Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and minimum of two years management experience preferred.
  • Skill Set: Effective written and verbal communication in English, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, possess the ability to multitask as well as provide constructive feedback and recognition to personnel
  • Physical: Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 30 ( /-) pounds required. Ability to sit/and for 8 ( /-) or more hours. Manual dexterity; Ability to view PC monitors for 8 ( /-) or more hours.
  • Availability to work designated schedule, including any additional hours, weekends and holidays required.
  • Other: Co-operative, respectful, willing to learn and problem solve, dependable, process oriented, able to suggest effective departmental process improvements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: BS Degree in Business Administration
  • Experience: At least two years’ experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting, at least one-year in inventory control, at least one year in collections and one year of computer experience.
  • Skill Set: Strong knowledge of office equipment and computer skills
  • Other: Confidential person, positive attitude, ability to be impartial when it comes to managerial decisions regarding fellow co-workers and understanding the overall goal of the company and the impact that this position has when it comes to achieving that goal
