1st Shift Machine Operator

Location: Bloomington, IL, 61701

POSITION SUMMARY

Beer Nuts Brand Snacks is hiring Machine Operators to join our growing team. Our facility is located in Bloomington Illinois. Operators are responsible for various tasks including set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The Machine Operator will also be responsible for inspecting finished product that meets specifications, making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONDSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
valuating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed
Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
Monitoring and maintaining warehouse equipment and machinery
Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions
Setting up manufacturing equipment
Complete all necessary documentation and reports.
Overseeing training of new team members
Using machine equipment to complete tasks
Meet daily productivity goals
Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
Follow Redzone targets for production goals
Comply with all safety and health regulations
Performing preventive maintenance on assigned machines as necessary
Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Possesses strong communication, organizational, multi-tasking, and attention to detail
Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot potential production issues
Ability to lift 55 lbs.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Must be dependable
Possess a positive attitude, be efficient, be productive, and be a team player
Tech savvy, knowledge of production procedures
Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time
Previous machine operator experience preferred; on the job training offered

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: 1st Shift; Monday – Thursday 5:30 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

Occasional Fridays may be necessary.

Wage: $19.00/hr.
