Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: M-F 8:30am-5:30pm (1 hour lunch break); may need additional availability on occasion for special projects etc.
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 annually

The ideal candidate will be working out of our Farmingdale office to with the key objective of managing an accurate customer database with all terms including pricing, and accurately invoicing and receiving customer bills. Internal and external customer satisfaction though the accurate, timely, and consistent execution of the accounts receivable processes.

What's Expected (include but not limited to):

Primary Responsibilities

• Posting customer payments: checks, ACH’s and wires
• Thorough understanding of chargebacks and deductions to resolve customer payment variances
• Issue credit memos as instructed
• Provide internal and external customer service to resolve any outstanding issues; may require resending of invoices and statements

• Create and maintain appropriate customer records (freight terms, billing terms, etc.)
• Maintain and review customer price lists
• Process customer billing
• Support general accounting function as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• HS Diploma or GED
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify
• English proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension); bi-lingual a plus
• Computer savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office – especially Excel
• Must be extremely detail oriented and accurate
• Exceptional communication and intrapersonal skills

Education/Experience/License Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field, though equivalent work experience may be accepted
• At least 3 years’ experience in accounting, specifically with Accounts Receivables
• Minimum 1 year experience working in AR for a manufacturing or distribution company highly preferred
• Must have experience working in a fast-paced office
• Prior experience with an ERP (NetSuite a plus)
• Working knowledge of GAAP
