BECKETT is Hiring a Logistics Assistant Near Plano, TX
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse
- Daily Shipping and processing of shipments from the warehouse.
- Daily Receiving and processing of shipments to the warehouse
- Keeping inbound shipments logs
- Following all warehouse procedures.
- Timely and accurate processing of publication returns.
- Be proficient in Beckett’s in-house Phoenix software.
- Be proficient in FedEx, USPS and UPS Domestic and International shipping software.
- Running proper reports and seeing they get to the correct department and/or filed correctly.
- Running daily shipping/receiving metrics and reporting them to management
- Follow up all Logistics/Distribution procedures (as in Logistics/Distribution handbook)
- Accurately recording work hours; if overtime is required, must contact management for pre-approval
- Immediate reporting any issues/problems to manager on premises
- Receiving and archiving company copies of books and magazines.
- Maintain publications in bins with proper quantities.
- Receive telephone calls from customers and employees and initiate problem-solving skills to take care of each request.
- Works with internal customers to ensure that shipments are shipped in a timely manner.
- Prepares magazines, books, CD’s, cards, etc. for shipment.
- Maintaining accuracy of inventory though adjustments, shipping, receiving, returns etc.
- Keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
- Keeps shipping machines daily records and closes out our on-line equipment at the end of each shift.
- Enters new products into inventory system.
Mailroom *
- Mail pickups and Deliveries
- Sorting and processing of all mail
- Running proper reports and seeing they get to the correct department and/or filed correctly.
- Proficient in running USPS postage machine and delivering our internal mail on a pre-set schedule.
- Upkeep and organization of the supply room
- Mailroom Money box and documentation
- Following all Mailroom procedures.
Facilities *
- Assuring work requests are fulfilled in a timely manner
- Maintain Facilities Inventory/Control Reports
- Assisting in building and landscape maintenance.
- Must be able to operate and maintain forklifts and mechanical pallet jacks
- Upkeep of Company Van
- Helps dispose of trash and assists Facilities in moving furniture, etc.
- Detail Oriented
- Sound organizational skills
- Proficient in office and distribution software programs
- Capable of managing multiple functions simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Self-motivated
- Dependable
- Ability to solve problems as they arise
- Ability to safely operate power lift truck equipment
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Available to work in flexible schedule
