    The Beaverton School District is accepting applications for an Options School Principal and Middle School Principal. Please note future openings may be filled from this pool of applicants.
    Position Description: The Options and/or Middle School Principal is the chief administrative and instructional leader at their school, and operates with broad autonomy under the direction of the Executive Administrator and in alignment with District policies, labor agreements, state regulations, and federal statutes. Independent judgment and decision-making is required in matters not having established rules, regulations or policies. The Principal has ultimate accountability for the operation of the school, and in this regard has a demonstrable impact on the achievement and success of its students.
    Tentative Interviews:

    Round 2: Thursday, May 19 (in person)
    Required Qualifications:
    1. Must have or qualify for an Oregon Administrative credential.
    2. Must have at least four years experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
    3. Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of effective instruction and knowledge of current theories of curriculum instruction and assessment.
    4. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
    5. Must hold a valid Oregon or Washington driver’s license.
    Applicants are asked to attach two letters of recommendation and unofficial transcripts to their applications. If they are unable to do so and are selected for an interview, they are required to bring them to the interview. Official transcripts are required at time of hire.
    If the District is unable to identify at least three qualified finalists from the applicant pool, the position may be re-posted.
    COMPENSATION: Benefit package includes family medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, retirement planning financial products, professional dues, tuition reimbursement and mileage and cell phone stipends. Annual salary: $137,767. Twelve-month (255 days) work year, including 10 holidays.
    To comply with Governor Kate Brown’s Executive Order - “All teachers, educators, support staff, and volunteers in K-12 schools will be required to be fully vaccinated by October 18, 2021. Upon hire we will need to collect a copy of your COVID-19 Vaccination Card or evidence of a qualifying medical or religious exception from the mandate.
