Bearing Construction Inc. is Hiring a Project Manager Near Siler, NC

The Project manager is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, executive, control, and completion of the project while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of the organization.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Manages all aspects of project documentation including, submittals, purchase orders, RFIs and change orders.
  • Maintains all change order, submittal, and document (drawing) control logs.
  • Prepares/creates and issues subcontractor’s contracts.
  • Develops and presents AIA documents related to change orders and pay applications.
  • Interacts with subcontractors to make certain that we have obtained correct documentation and drawings for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Responsible for the assembly and timely delivery of the Owner and Maintenance Manuals
  • Leads project planning sessions to set project goals and objectives, determine timelines, define tasks, and outline resources necessary to successfully complete the project
  • Selects and manages a team from among internal and external stakeholder organizations
  • Monitors the progress of projects, including addressing issues that may arise and ensuring project deliverables are completed on time
  • Uses an appropriate tracking tool to coordinate different elements of the project
  • Organizes regular status and review meetings as necessary, including generating and distributing meeting minutes
  • Synthesizes and analyzes data to prepare accurate financial forecasts and reports
  • Gathers resources, identify potential constraints based on activities and timeframes, and define solutions to manage any constraints
  • Designs a risk management plan to minimize foreseeable disruptions to the project
  • Manages relevant budgets ensure compliance with processes such as RFP generation and PO generation
  • Oversees all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including managing contracts
  • Maintains adherence to company style and branding in all outgoing communications
  • Participates in designing, submitting, and reviewing formal and informal tenders
  • Manages a portfolio and resources to ensure client engagement through project plans, schedules, project tracking, budget and resource allocation, Gantt charts, and workload analysis
  • Reports regularly to management and relevant stakeholders on the progress of the project, challenges, resolutions, and alterations
  • Conducts project reviews, including creating detailed reports for executive staff and identifying areas for future improvement
  • Ensures all project deliverables, deadlines, and client expectations are met
  • Meets with project team members to identify and resolve issues
  • Submits project deliverables and ensures they adhere to quality standards
  • Prepares status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information
  • Facilitates change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget
  • Optimizes and improves processes, identify growth opportunities, and initiate new projects
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read blueprints, plans and structural drawings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise in project management through all phases of a project life cycle
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Expertise with project management software (eg. Microsoft Project, Primavera, ProCore)
  • Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely at a level appropriate to the target audience
  • Ability to solve problems by systematically analyzing issues, drawing logical conclusions, and recommending practical solutions
  • Flexibility and creative thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively direct, coordinate, and follow up with team members to ensure timely completion of project deliverables
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage the workload of multiple projects
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge of project management best practices and methodologies and commitment to improving internal practices

Required Experience and Education

  • 5 years of construction experience
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent education
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in any industry

Preferred Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, or a related technical field
  • Experience related to water/wastewater industry
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work in an indoor office environment and an active outdoor construction site environment.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
  • Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions and be exposed to dirt or dust.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment while at work.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 25lbs regularly and 50lbs occasionally.
  • Must be able to work for long periods of time in front of a computer and/or while standing.
