We are an oral surgeon office looking for a Front Office I with excellent organizational and administrative skills. You will be responsible for meeting and greeting patients in a friendly manner, accurately checking in and checking out patients, scheduling appointments, preparing patients for their current and/or follow-up appointment, assisting with medical claim creation, verification, and authorizations, and other clinical and administrative tasks to ensure a quality patient experience. This person may need to cover other locations as needed.
Job Description
We are looking to hire a front office receptionist that is compassionate and discrete with superb time management and record-keeping skills. The front office receptionist should have a minimum of 1-year of experience in a Dental / Medical Office.
To ensure success, front office receptionists should be confident and professional administrators with fantastic communication and interpersonal skills that will contribute to the efficient day-to-day administration of the healthcare facility. Top candidates will work comfortably under pressure while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and can effectively react to patient emergencies.
Responsibilities:
  • Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Contact late patients when needed.
  • Greet and attend to office patients in a professional and timely manner.
  • Schedule appointments between doctors and patients.
  • Ask each patient for referral and imaging. Convert charts from new to established patient.
  • Check for digital paperwork. Print out all new paperwork, attach digitally to EMR and create paper chart. If paperwork was not received digitally, give it to patient to complete in person.
  • Scan identification and insurance cards to patient's account. Enter demographics and double-check accuracy. Add insurance to patient's chart.
  • Make sure all patient forms are signed.
  • Communicate patient arrival and indicate when patient is ready for a consultation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all doctors, staff, and patient information.
  • Complete accurate documentation of patient visits.
  • Pull charts 1 week in advance for review by level III staff.
  • Maintain business inventory such as checking supplies, scheduling equipment, and maintenance repairs. Ensure that stock levels are adequate, and orders are made timely.
  • Accept and post payments immediately.
Required Qualifications:
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.
  • Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and Microsoft Office skills
  • Passionate about healthcare excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-year experience in a dental / medical office preferred.

Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, 8 hour shift
Special Requirements:
