Beacon Hill Staffing Group is Hiring a Grants Coordinator Near Chicago, IL


Beacon Hill is hiring! We are excited to partner with a reputable assocation in downtown Chicago in hiring a Grants Coordinator to start immediately. This is a newly created role with high visability within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Grant Research and Identification:
    • Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other sources.
    • Stay updated on grant guidelines, eligibility criteria, deadlines, and funding priorities.
  2. Proposal Development:
    • Collaborate with program managers and other team members to develop compelling grant proposals that align with the organization's goals and priorities.
    • Write and edit grant narratives, budgets, and supporting documents in accordance with funder requirements.
  3. Grant Management:
    • Manage the full lifecycle of grant awards, including proposal submission, award acceptance, and reporting.
    • Establish and maintain systems to track grant deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
    • Coordinate with finance and program staff to ensure accurate budgeting and financial reporting for grants.
  4. Relationship Building:
    • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funders, including regular communication and updates on grant-funded activities.
    • Collaborate with program staff to provide funders with updates, success stories, and impact reports as required.
  5. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with grant requirements and regulations, including timely submission of progress reports, financial reports, and other documentation.
    • Work closely with finance and compliance teams to ensure accurate and thorough reporting.
  6. Grant Evaluation and Assessment:
    • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of grant-funded programs and activities.
    • Collect and analyze data to measure outcomes and impact, and use findings to improve future grant proposals and programs.
  7. Professional Development:
    • Stay informed about best practices in grant writing, fundraising, and nonprofit management.
    • Attend workshops, conferences, and other professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as nonprofit management, public administration, communications, or a related area).
  • 2 years of experience in grant writing, grant management, or related field, preferably in a nonprofit or public sector setting.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling grant narratives and proposals.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grant management software preferred.
  • Knowledge of Chicago's nonprofit landscape and funding sources is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Passion for social justice, community development, and making a positive impact in Chicago.
