Job Summary : The Assistant General Manager (AGM) will orchestrate a remarkable evening at Starlite for all guests and team members - from start to finish. The AGM will be responsible for coordination, planning and detailing of all events at the lounge. Act as a liaison to VIPs, Investors, and traveling restaurant and bar industry greats, acting as their "point-of-contact" for visiting Starlite.
Cultivate one of the most welcoming spaces in Union Square - a place to see and be seen by locals and tourists alike, ensuring a fun time is had by all.
Drive the culture of Excessive Hospitality. Foster creativity in planning and arranging for special touches for VIP and special guests of all kinds.
Effectively manage the door and flow of patrons to ensure guest satisfaction, operational execution and revenue optimization.
Manage all guest facing communication, including phone and emails
Manage the planning of semi-private events and large party reservations sat Starlite, from initial guest contact to final payment
Accurately and clearly communicate all group specifications, detail and history to appropriate operational departments, ensuring that all specifications are implemented and executed to established guidelines
Continually improve service through observation, collaboration and discussions with guests, staff, sales teams, Beacon Grand leadership, and ownership. Host open and productive conversations with chef & bar leads to edit and adapt until Starlite sings Inspire and educate the staff. Most importantly, show how it's done
Cover the basics: cleanliness, timeliness, and consistency; follow the laws and mandates, demonstrate the qualities of a respectful citizen of our San Francisco community
Find new and fun ways to ensure profitability - consider community and connection as key levers to pull.

Education and Experience •
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related business discipline, or equivalent experience
At least three (3) years of Food & Beverage management experience required
Lifestyle / luxury hotel / Bar / Lounge experience required, opening experience a plus
CA / San Francisco experience preferred.
