About The Position

As the Bakery/Donut Shop Manager, you are taking the lead in directing team members, managing department inventory, pricing integrity, and other operational processes that require significant attention to detail. This is a fast-paced position that requires efficiency and effectiveness and a passion for excellence to drive results.

Responsibilities include:

• Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service
• Making recommendations and accommodating requests, including specialty orders, catering and small events.
• Assist in managing P&L statements, monitor financial performance, and make strategic decisions to achieve target profitability goals and metrics.
• Lead and supervise all personnel including hiring, training, scheduling and performance management to ensure high performing team
• Conduct regular performance evaluations with the team and provide regular coaching, training and mentorship
• monitor and address customer feedback, complaints and concerns promptly and efficiently
• Assist the pastry chef in coordinating with the marketing team on promotional activities, events and specials
• Managing order guides/ordering deadlines/reducing shrink/damage
• Properly receiving/stocking of goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels.
• Direct teams to handle, properly receiving/stocking, and merchandising of goods that follow George's Donut and Merriment standards
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members “on-the-job” in a professional, safe and secure manner

Availability:

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, early mornings, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of management experience in retail, cafe, donut shop, baking, and/or culinary experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, excel and spreadsheets
• Must be at least 18 years old
