Be well Primary Care is Hiring a Lead Medical Assistant Near Keller, TX

Looking for a friendly, dependable, energetic and an Experienced FULL TIME Medical Assistant for a busy Primary Care/Internal Medicine Practice.

The Lead Medical Assistant (LMA) works under Head of Clinical Operations and is responsible for maintaining efficient patient flow and quality patient care. They will also be responsible for training new and existing Medical Assistants (MA). The LMA works as a part of a healthcare team including Physicians, NP/PA’s to provide comprehensive care.

The position we are looking to fill requires a person with excellent customer service, attention to detail, with positive attitude. Our new team member should be able to work independently or with the team, and able to motivate others. The position will be cross trained to work in both front (clerical) and back office (medical). The position hours are 8:00-5:00pm Monday-Friday.

NOTICE: At times,this position will require travel to one of other locations. Candidate MUST be willing to travel to Denton when needed.

Bilingual candidates a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Roles:

  • Ensure new MA’s have the appropriate training and certification and are a cultural fit
  • Provide guidance to Medical Assistant team, which will include all functions of a Medical Assistant- Documentation and processes to be shared on Teams and Share-Point
  • Oversee and train new and existing staff- Make sure all MAs are cross trained to work in all clinics and with all providers.
  • LMA will manage and review charts, encounters, DI, forms for completeness including all quality care gaps, make sure all MA’s are answering VM’s daily and by the end of the day
  • Ensure inventory for medical supplies for each Clinic is being done in a timely manner and is always up to date; hence making sure that we do not run out of our critical medical supplies
  • Work in collaboration with Office Lead to Hire and interview new hires for Medical Assistant
  • Supervise work performance of all MA staff and provide input for performance reviews and corrective action plans as needed
  • Manage schedule for MAs such as cleaning and time-off in coordination with Office Lead and ensure we have the proper back up
  • Assist with clinic scheduling, problem solving, patient wait times and other areas of concern to increase efficient and quality services for our patients
  • Provide training and documentation to MAs for any new and existing services; training should include workflow, EMR documentation, etc…
  • Ensure MA related documentation is updated regularly based on any changes in medical guidelines, Process, and procedures
  • Ensure best practices are being implemented consistently - Such as check out forms, physicals, RX’s refills, Referrals, etc.…
  • Attend providers meeting and relay any pertinent information to MA’s in a timely manner
  • Meet frequently with Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to discuss process between Provider and Medical Assistant
  • Participate and evaluate in any new information that relates to patient care for their respective jobs such as Medical Assistant
  • Responsible to being an expert in EMR system as it relates to Medical Assistant/Providers duties. This includes exploring and implementing efficient ways to use the EMR
  • Provider Mentorship and development to the MA team
  • Perform other duties such as assigned

Education & Experience needed:

· High School Graduate or Equivalent

· Graduated from Medical Assistant accredited program

·3 years’ experience in an outpatient doctor's office is preferable

Management skills/experience preferred

· EMR, preferably eClinicalWorks

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Must be detail oriented and demonstrate time management skills

· Ability to multi-task while remaining focused upon providing exceptional patient care & service

· Professional appearance and demeanor

References/Background check required. Pay based on experience.

Salary: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
