BCS Financial Corporation is Hiring a Director, Product Management Near Oakbrook Terrace, IL

The Director of Product Management strategically drives the development and management of insurance products in the BCS portfolio of solutions using market research and analysis, customer/distributor feedback, and performance data (sales, underwriting, financial, etc.). This person will also work with the Underwriting and Actuarial departments in rate and risk profile development. The ideal candidate is forward-thinking, strategic, and customer service oriented.

This position reports to the Head of Marketing.

Essential Elements

  • Research market trends and collect competitor intel to help guide product strategy and share learnings from the market across the broader organization
  • Utilize voice of the customer and broker to assess go/no go activity with product development
  • Assess the results of current product performance and recommend improvements and/or enhancements
  • Measure the impact of product changes to ensure the implementation and results match what was planned
  • Partner with Actuarial and Underwriting teams to work on the development of coverage, pricing levels, and policy requirements
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team to facilitate regulatory approval and implement new features
  • Product training (internal and external)
  • Work with marketing leads on collateral development and upkeep, which includes forms, presentations, brochureware, etc.
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure products are stood up on our systems, third-party vendors are ready, contracts are in good order, technology and tools are in place, etc.

Requirements

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent insurance training

Experience

  • 8 or more years of insurance industry experience in a product development role 
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) ·
  • Expert knowledge of all rating and product activities

Travel Required

  • Travel may be required to attend educational conferences.

Workplace policy

  • BCS has a hybrid office policy. This position will be required to be in the office on average 2 day a week.
