Position Overview
The Business Process Analyst Manager plays a critical role in enhancing BCS Financial Corporation’s organizational efficiency and effectiveness by working closely with users, stakeholders, and IT personnel to gather requirements, refine processes, and improve information flow. Their expertise in creating detailed workflow diagrams will map out both the present and future states of our business operations, guiding the development of essential project deliverables such as requirements specifications, Visio process maps, and business cases to support IT investments. Their innovative approach to redesigning workflows will target and eliminate inefficiencies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement aimed at boosting productivity and customer satisfaction while reducing costs. By offering project management support, leading functional teams, and ensuring seamless integration between business processes and IT systems, the Business Process Analyst Manager will drive significant transformation efforts, securing stakeholder buy-in through effective change management and communication strategies.

This position will report toVP, Services & Operations.

Essential Elements
  • Works closely with users, stakeholders, and IT personnel to effectively and efficiently elicit requirements, streamline processes, improve access to information, and define business and technical needs.
  • Creates workflow diagrams that reflect current and future business environments 
  • Develops project deliverables including requirements specification documents, as-is and to-be Visio process maps and narratives, and business cases that support and justify IT capital investments.
  • Conducts market research and analyses of solution alternatives, including cost-benefit, risks, issues, feasibility, and implementation schedule.
  • Designs/re-designs workflows and processes to eliminate bottlenecks, chokepoints, pain points, and waste to improve productivity, decision making, and the utilization of assets and resources.
  • Provides thought leadership to help employees fundamentally rethink how they do their work in order to dramatically improve customer service and reduce operational costs.
  • Provides project management support, including identification and management of project issues and risks, assistance with design mockups, leading functional teams, performing benchmark analyses, and analyzing project data.
  • Work through change management and communication styles to obtain buy in from users in the change. 
  • Partner with IT and business teams to ensure alignment to processes and systems.
Requirements

Education and Certifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related discipline preferred 

Experience

  • At least five years applicable business analyst experience 
  • Six Sigma/Lean Certification 
  • Possesses PC desktop software skills (proficient with MS Office Product Suite/Viso) 
  • Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal skills with emphasis in pro-active brainstorming and debating dialogues 
  • Requires high energy, positive thinking and an assertive personality that is perceived as professional, open, intelligent and a remarkable contributor to any team 
  • Knowledge of Insurance, Reinsurance, systems and applications preferred 
  • Strong leadership, communication, listening and influencing skills 

Travel Required 

  • Minimal travel to Oak Brook Terrace, IL home office as needed.

Workplace policy

  • BCS has a hybrid office policy. This position will be required to be in the office on average 2 day a week.
