The Bristol Adventures Accounting Specialist will assist with month-end close, monitors daily cash activities, prepares journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations, assists with other day-to-day accounting functions, and supports the year-end financial statement audit. This position has the potential to be a hybrid job.Essential Job Responsibilities:Assists Shareholder Services Department with addressing shareholder payment inquiries.Supports year-end tax compliance for shareholder distributions, including 1099 preparation and filing.Manages daily cash processing, including recording bank account activity, monitoring balances, and addressing bank’s exceptions.Assists with month-end close processes including preparation of journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, preparation of intercompany statements, and other month-end close activities.Provides secondary support to accounts payable function.Manages vendor records.Assists with annual financial statement audits.Provides additional support as necessary.Essential Skills:Knowledge of basic accounting principles.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Meet the expectations of internal and external customers.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Effective organizational and time management abilities.Understand the need to maintain strict confidentiality.High level of integrity and reliability.Demonstrate a professional commitment and a strong desire for continuous learning.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred, will consider a combination of education and experience.3 years of accounting experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.Physical Demands:Frequent sitting and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
