BBG, Inc. is seeking is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team. The Staff Accountant will report to the Controller and will work in the following areas: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Acquisitions. The ideal candidate is resourceful, proactive, highly organized, and eager to learn. This is an in-office position local to Dallas, Texas (Park Cities area).

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable: Collecting and processing invoices using proper GL coding for timely payment, researching and resolving vendor invoice discrepancies/payments, reconciling vendor accounts, issuing vendor payments, and supporting the month-end close process. 
• Accounts Receivable: Applying cash and processing payments, preparing and recording journal entries, communicating with clients related to timely payment of invoices, and researching various internal and external queries related to past payment
• Acquisitions: Assisting in the integration of accounting practices and data of newly acquired companies into BBG’s procedures and systems, participating in internal projects related to acquired companies and groups, maintaining direct and recurring communication with acquired groups in order to support the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting preferred. CPA eligible candidate is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving, solid analytical skills and follow through skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task.
• Strong work ethic with team player approach and the ability to work/thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Microsoft programs specially Excel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work hours sufficient to accomplish reporting requirements.
• Enjoy working in a work-hard/play-hard environment with ability to learn and grow.
