Bavette's Bar & Boeuf is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time Maitre D'to join our team! ($35-$45/hour)

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience working in a high volume restaurant environment, including 2 years working as a Maitre D’ or floor manager.
  • Experience with a range of guest reservation systems, Resy preferred.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and engage with a team.
  • Natural talent for creative problem solving.
  • Ability to work under pressure with grace and ease.
  • Passion for excellence, superior service standards, and an extremely positive attitude.
  • Open availability to work including evenings, weekends, and holidays; reliability and accountability are highly prioritized.
  • Must have a valid Food Handler Certificate prior to start date.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and with professionalism at all times in all areas of Hogsalt restaurants.
  • Maintain and support a positive work environment.
  • Engage in and control the flow of the dining room, constantly communicating with leadership.
  • Act as a liaison to restaurant leadership, implementing procedures and aligning with company standards at all times.
  • Work directly with the Guest Services Director & General Manager to ensure proper bookings, turn times, and seating times.
  • Generate new ideas for service and products to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Foster and develop new and existing guest relationships to promote repeat business.
  • Adapt to new circumstances by utilizing organizational skills; remain flexible and embrace change.
  • Analyze business activity and compile statistics or reports as required.
  • Oversee all aspects of host training, including keeping all training materials up to date.
  • Have a high level of awareness in regards to the needs of guests, reservations, and the restaurant in general.
  • Utilize excellent communication and guest service skills, including the ability to handle challenging situations.
