***Purpose of Job:

This position reports to the Vice President(VP) of Finance then President and is responsible for providing accuracy and confidentiality in the preparation and maintenance of the Company's financial records.

***Minimum level of education / training required/certificates/licenses:

This position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting.

***Minimum experience required:

This position requires a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, covering most areas of accounting practices.

***Essential Responsibilities:

1.Effectively develops & maintains data security of confidential information within the Accounting Department and the Company as a whole.

2.Knowledgeable of accounting theory, principals and terminology.

3.Proficiently records, classifies, examines and analyzes financial transactions.

4.Effectively analyzes the effects of transactions upon account relationships; evaluates alternatives means of treating transactions.

5.Appropriately plans the manner in which account structures should be developed or modified.

6.Assures the adequacy of the accounting system.

7.Effectively revises and adds accounting controls.

8.Successfully interprets the meaning of accounting records, reports, and statements.

9.Appropriately advises management on accounting matters.

10. Competently recommends improvements or revisions in the accounting system and procedures.

11. Knowledgeable, effective and efficient in preparing financial statements.

12. Thoroughly analyzes financial statements.

13. Accurately consolidations the financial information of all Batesville Tool and Die, Inc. (BTD) Companies.

14. Coordinate the transfer of financial data among the various Companies.

15. Ensure that all data is received and entered into the General Ledger in a timely manner.

16. Oversees the maintenance & administration of sales and uses tax certificates for suppliers and customers; assures records are kept up-to-date and provides back-up support.

17. Oversees & assures the accuracy & timely filing of sales & tax returns and provides back up support.

18. Oversees the preparation and, filing, and assures the accuracy & timeliness of property tax return and provides back up support.

19. Accurately prepares and files with the government property tax abatements.

20. Oversee the Preparation, filing, and assures the accuracy & timeliness of filings of 1099's.

21. Competently provides for the confidentiality and security of sensitive accounting information and maintains a high degree of confidentiality.

22. Efficient in preparation of data for the development of company departmental budgets; and efficient in preparation and analysis of monthly budget performance reports.

23. Adequately provides direction to the accounting department staff to assure the proper recording and documentation of transactions.

24. Effectively manages the accounting staff work load and performance.

25. Effectively oversees Accounting Receivable collections.

26. Assures inventory costing is accurate and up-to-date; assures inventory system is adequate, processes are followed and proper controls are in place.

27. Research necessary information needed for meetings and/or projects.

28. Develop and maintain fraud prevention activities for the Accounting Department and entire Company.

29. Efficient and professional on all board activities

30. Proficiently prepares the minutes for the Shareholders' and the Board of Director's meetings

31. Competently provides information and prepares materials for the Board of Directors Meetings and schedules meetings.

32. Keeps an updated register of the post office addresses of each shareholder which shall be furnished to the Secretary by such shareholders.

33. Adequately provide back up support for petty cash distribution and tracking.

34. Accurately writes and maintains current or establishes new structure of financial reports in Plex.

35. Effectively schedules and oversees the annual external audit.

36. Effectively oversees governmental audits.

37. Correctly prepares cash disbursement data for journal entries and records entries into Plex.

38. Proficiently assists Vice President (VP) of Finance and Executive team as need.

Based on company needs a flexible work schedule and/or overtime is needed.

***Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervise Senior Accountant/Benefits Coordinator, Accounts Payable Clerks, and A/R Clerk & Sr. Accounting Clerk.
