Job Overview:

Basement Systems of Indiana is seekinga skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing carpentry work related to basement finishing projects. This role involves working on various aspects of basement construction and remodeling, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, and delivering projects within specified timelines. The ideal candidate for this role must be willing to grow with the company as this position could lead to a management role.

Responsibilities:

Carpentry Work:

Execute carpentry tasks related to basement finishing projects, including framing, installing our basement wall systems, trim work, and other relevant activities.

Ensure precision and attention to detail in all carpentry tasks to meet project specifications and quality standards.

Reading Blueprints:

Interpret and work from detailed job scopes and project plans to understand the scope of work and specifications.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure working environment.

Conduct regular safety checks on tools and equipment, reporting any issuespromptly.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other team members, including production managers, and electricians to ensure seamless coordination and completion of projects.

Communicate effectively with clients to address any concerns or questions regarding carpentry work.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages of the project to ensure work meets the company's standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Experience:

Proven experience as a carpenter with a focus on basement finishing projects.

Familiarity with various carpentry tools and equipment.

Skills:

Proficient in framing, wall system installation, trim work, and other carpentry techniques.

Ability to read and interpret job scopes and project specifications.

Communication:

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

Safety Awareness:

Knowledge of and commitment to safety regulations and procedures.

Time Management:

Ability to manage time efficiently and meet project deadlines.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications in carpentry or related fields are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 45 per week
