The Position:The Warehouse Lead, reporting to the Supervisor/Assistant Operations Manager, will assist in coordinating all daily warehousing activities for assigned areas. This position will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Supervisor with training, assigning, scheduling, and communicating job expectations.The compensation for this position starts at 40K per year, depending on experience.This shift works 7:00AM-3:30PM, Monday-Friday.Your Day-To-Day:Oversee the daily department production activity and ensure all area targets are met.Provide guidance to assigned associates and direct the day-to-day workflow of the assigned area.Assume supervisor responsibilities in the event of the Supervisor’s absence.Train employees and temporary staff on all standard operating processes and procedures.Articulate customer concerns and operational issues to their direct supervisor/manager in a timely and efficient manner.Assist with maintaining accurate physical inventories.Recommend and implement process improvements for assigned areas of the operation.Assess assigned warehouse operations daily to ensure the warehouse is neat, secure, and well organized.Actively participate and may hold start-up meetings for assigned areas of responsibility.Ensure the safety of associates at all times.Perform all duties of the warehouse associate as needed.Other duties as assigned.What You'll Bring To The Table:High school diploma/GED strongly preferred.Powered industrial equipment experience preferred.Experience must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and policies and procedures.Working knowledge of Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and warehouse management systems preferred.Experience must demonstrate the ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines. Strong emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to read, write and communicate in English (Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred).Must be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals.Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this classification.
