SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Conflicts Manager, and according to established Firm policies and procedures, the Conflict Systems Assistant is responsible for the updating and maintenance of the conflicts data base, including running conflict searches, reviewing and entering new employment data. Observes confidentiality of client and firm matters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reviews new employment documents and enters all related data, including client and matter information, and appropriate data on related parties.
2. Runs conflicts searches, as requested, by Firm attorneys or designated staff personnel.
3. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of the conflicts database.
4. Assists attorneys and staff with the completion of new employment paperwork and the defining search requests.
5. Responds appropriately to special requests received from attorneys and staff.
6. Assists other members of the conflicts group, and the Conflicts Supervisor, as required.
7. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Knowledge and abilities generally acquired through obtaining a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Ability to use data base software, spreadsheet, and word processing software to complete analysis and reports.
3. Ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
4. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with a diverse group of attorneys and staff. Provides information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
5. Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
6. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
7. Highly organized, with super attention to detail.8. Work occasionally requires more than 37.5 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
