We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Gashapon Business Director. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing the Gashapon new business growth via coordination with Bandai Japan’s Vendor Department and local distribution and franchise partners. This position requires a balance of excellent business management skills, communication skills, and the ability to oversee new business initiatives and operations effectively.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• P&L Management
• Management of existing distribution and franchise partners
• Review of New Distribution and Franchise partners
• Negotiation and Coordination of new Distribution and Franchise Agreements
• New Location, Marketing Initiative and Event Planning and Implementation
• Facilitation of relevant business update and strategy meetings
• Effective reporting of business strategies and results to Bandai Vendor Department
• Inventory and Partner Inventory Review and Management
• Purchasing Oversight and New Product Purchasing Process Facilitation
• Purchasing and ongoing management and coordination of owned Capsule Machine assets with Financial teams
• Management of Supply Chain Senior Manager and Customer Service Representative

• Minimum of 5 plus years experience in consumer products related roles (brand management, marketing, licensing, manufacturing)
• Experience managing, analyzing and reporting Brand P&L and A&P budget management
• Experience with promotional and marketing campaign planning, implementation and KPI/ROAS analysis
• Experience working with basic business terms in contract negotiations
• Ability to deliver effective strategy presentations to both leadership and team members
• Experience managing and motivating teams
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with vendors, and team members
• Proficient in Excel, Power Point and Word
• Strong Interest in introducing Japan trends to N American markets
• Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
• Japanese Level: Business Level Proficient (JPL N1or higher preferred)
• Hybrid schedule: In-office 3 days a week at Irvine location

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Associate Degree preferred.
